Welcome to the Town of Poughkeepsie Natural Resources Inventory (NRI) and Open Space Plan (OSP) project website! The NRI will identify key environmental and open space resources within the Town. The Open Space Plan will identify priorities for protection and create a foundation for future implementation of conservation projects.

The NRI and Open Space Plan are being developed by the Town of Poughkeepsie and guided by the NRI/Open Space Plan Steering Committee. The process is being facilitated by a consultant team led by MJ Engineering and Land Surveying and supported by Shumaker Engineering and Land Surveying.

This project is funded, in part, through a grant from the New York State Environmental Protection fund through the Hudson River Estuary Program of the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC).
